Frequently Asked Questions About Comforters

If you sleep hot, a lighter comforter may feel more comfortable. Breeze is Buffy’s lighter option for warmer sleepers and climates; Cloud is higher-loft and designed for all-season use. Bedding can affect comfort, but it does not prevent, treat, relieve or reduce night sweats or hot flashes.

The Cloud uses a 300-thread-count sateen-weave lyocell shell with recycled PET fill. Breeze uses a TENCEL™ lyocell shell and a TENCEL™ lyocell fill.

Buffy offers options for warmer and cooler seasons. Cloud is designed for all-season use and is also available in a Winter Weight version; Breeze is Buffy’s lighter option for warmer sleepers and climates.

The Cloud is machine washable on cold with low heat or air dry. The Winter Weight Cloud is dry clean only, and the Breeze is spot or dry clean. Using a duvet cover over your comforter cuts down on how often you need to wash it.

Buffy comforters are made to hold their loft. The Cloud Comforter uses a proprietary stitching pattern that locks the fill in place, and the Breeze is built with Fill-Lock engineering so the fill will not shift or leave cold spots. Some softening is normal over the years, but with regular care and a duvet cover, real clumping or shape loss should not happen.

The Cloud Comforter and Breeze Comforter are both examined by hand at multiple points in the production and finishing process, and both carry OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class 1 certification, tested against more than 1,000 harmful substances.
